Howdy everyone!
For my first post on this little writing portfolio, I figure’d I’d start out with my first ever award-winning piece, Eye of Ra. It follows Ra, Egyptian god of the sun and known buffoon, on his quest to reclaim his status as the head-ruler of the pantheon. From that point on it’s a tale as old as time: hero cuts out his own eye to cover for his past actions, eye turns into murderess lion goddess bent on killing humanity, hero has to enlist the help of his grandson to stop the villain he created. You’ve heard it a million times before.
Eye of Ra won best play at The 2018 Georgia Thespians Play Writing Contest and was performed at the DeKalb School of the Arts 2019 Fringe Festival. If you have any interest in producing it, feel free to contact me at worstywrites@gmail.com. Believe me, I would be ecstatic to see this done professionally.
